in case any of you out there were wondering what the results of our mock election were, here's your answer:

w - 393 electoral college votes
kerry - 145 electoral college votes

If you're going to worry about something, don't worry about the electoral college result of a mock election with an unrepresentative sample. Worry about this instead: The Electoral Vote Predictor 2004.

yeah, i don't think our numbers are going to be any kind of accurate reflection on what will happen with the rest of the nation. so i'm not worried. it's just sad what these kids think they want.

The problem with a lot of polls that are conducted well is that they are based on assumptions that aren't necessarily true and have limitations that aren't accounted for in the numbers.

By contrast, the xxx poll is complete unscientific garbage. It doesn't even begin to approach a level where you have to wonder about its methodologies. It's just bad through and through.

However, if you have garbage like that out where people can see it, the sheep will be swayed by it. So let's not promote it or worry about it.
